Twelve Billion of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) funding targeted for education going to support activities under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
This is a one-time opportunity to assist special needs students,including those with disabilities, reading problems, and Section 504students.
Santillana USA Publishing offers both product and service solutions to address the needs of children with special needs, particularly English Language Learners (ELL) referred to special education due to reading difficulties. This is of special importance since 56% of all ELLs referred to special education nationwide are referred for reading difficulties.
